Accessibility statement
Effective 2026-09-01
1. Our commitment
Northline Ops is committed to making our product accessible to everyone, including people who use assistive technologies. We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across both the public marketing site and the authenticated workspace.
2. Current status
The marketing site and core workspace workflows are substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA as of September 2026. Some interactive components described in Section 4 are still being brought fully to Level AA.
3. What we ship today
- Skip to content. Every page has a keyboard-focusable “Skip to content” link so screen-reader and keyboard users can bypass the header navigation.
- Semantic landmarks. Header, main, footer, and navigation landmarks on every page. Heading hierarchy uses real HTML heading levels, no visual stand-ins.
- Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element is reachable and operable with a keyboard. The mobile navigation drawer traps focus while open and restores focus to the trigger button on close.
- Visible focus rings. A 2 px focus ring is drawn on every focusable element, including custom components.
- Reduced motion. We honour
prefers-reduced-motion, animations and transitions collapse to near-zero duration for users who prefer reduced motion. - Color contrast. Both the light and dark themes target contrast ratios of ≥ 4.5 : 1 for body text and ≥ 3 : 1 for large text and UI components.
- Form labels. Every input has a programmatic label. Validation errors are conveyed as text, not colour alone.
- Alt text and ARIA. Decorative icons use
aria-hidden. Icons that convey state have text equivalents. - No motion-required interactions. Drag-and-drop in the Kanban view has a keyboard-accessible menu equivalent for moving cards between stages.
- Focus-trapped dialogs. The cookie preferences modal, the mobile navigation drawer, and other modal dialogs trap focus while open and return focus on close.
4. Known gaps
- Rich text editors inside the proposal builder and email template editor are being audited for full screen-reader support.
- Some data-dense tables (profitability matrix, time-tracking entries) do not yet expose sortable-column state to screen readers semantically. Sorting works with a keyboard but announces column headers only, not sort direction.
- The client-signature canvas requires pointer input. A typed-name signature alternative is planned for users who cannot use a pointer device.
5. Assistive technology we test with
- NVDA (current release) with Firefox and Chrome on Windows
- VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS
- TalkBack with Chrome on Android
- Keyboard-only navigation across all supported browsers
6. How to report an issue
If something does not work well with your assistive technology, please email accessibility@northlineops.com. Include:
- The URL where you encountered the issue
- Your assistive technology (name and version)
- Your browser (name and version)
- What you were trying to do and what happened
Accessibility reports are treated with the same priority as security reports.
7. Alternatives
- Every document (invoice, proposal, contract) can be exported as a PDF for offline reading.
- Every list view exports to CSV, which is often easier to navigate with a screen reader.
- Email notifications are sent for key events so nothing critical is locked behind a UI-only interaction.
8. Scope
This statement covers https://northlineops.com and the authenticated workspace at https://northlineops.com/app. It does not cover third-party pages linked from the site (Stripe Checkout, Razorpay Checkout, Google sign-in), which publish their own accessibility statements.
9. Review schedule
This statement is reviewed quarterly and after any major UI release. Last reviewed: September 2026.
